Mother Mentor Responsibilities
Mother Mentors are women who have a passion for at risk-infants to live safely in healthy families and for their caregivers to receive the guidance they need to break generational issues.
Mentors are willing to commit their time to meeting with a matched participant once monthly to talk about obstacles, be a listening friend, help the participant access resources, and share parenthood experiences past and present.
Mentors are committed to the program for 6 to 12 months and attend trainings prior to being matched with a Mentee.
Mother Mentor Qualifications
- Must be 29 years old or older
- Must have a personal vehicle and provide a copy of their driver’s license and vehicle insurance policy
- Must have the ability to commit as a volunteer for one year
- Volunteers will need to submit to a criminal background check
- Must attend a live Mother Mentor training
- Must have completed and Signed National Sex Offender Search Form
